    Working for the Field Service Leader and alongside the Field Service Team and Account Managers, the Graduate Field Service Chemist will be partially responsible for achieving defined goals & objectives as well as working safely, compliantly and efficiently within a defined group of customer accounts.

    The Graduate Field Service Chemist will take leadership from the Field Service Leader as well as guidance from the Account Managers who will assist in developing operational skills to assist in recommended operational changes, reporting processes and communicate treatment performance enhancements with Suez customers in accordance with the business Value Proposition.

    What will I be doing?

    EHS & Compliance

    • Learn to deliver all aspects of the agreed contract including sampling, testing, reporting and consulting directly with the customer. Ensure they work in a safe manner at all times when delivering company objectives and comply with internal, legislative and customer EHS requirements and policies.
    • Apply the company Legionella policy for customers who have qualifying water systems.
    • To act at all times in compliance with the Ethics Charter policies when maintaining and developing relationships with customers.
    • Commercial
    • Understand the fundamentals of Suez customer commercial agreements at each assigned customer site and work alongside the Field Service Team and Account Managers ensuring all parties are made aware of any customer scope change or over chemical consumptions to maintain and develop the company profitability.
    • Notify the Account Manager of any Customer Contact changes.
    • Identify opportunities for operational upgrades and communicate to the Account Manager, whether ChemFeed equipment, training, analytical services or increased scope of supply.
    • Develop commercial acumen by supporting where possible the Account Managers in:
    • Selling to current and prospect customers.
    • Implementing marketing and sales programs within the assigned area
    • Supporting proposal activities

    Service

    • Support the Account manager in developing a Value Generation Plan and assist in optimising the operational activities within the assigned customers, to maximise productivity & profitability as well working with the Field Service Leaders to support the business needs with holiday cover. The Value Generation Plan plan should contain, but not be limited to, scope of supply of services, time & products as well as treatment limits, performance expectations & KPI’s.
    • Support the execution of customer service plans.
    • Communicate with the primary customer contact or deputy during each service visit to share the value in the service visit.
    • Ensure customer records are maintained at all times especially any Legionella related records.

    What are the requirements?

    Minimum Requirements:

    • 2:1 degree in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Environmental Sciences within the last 2 years.
    • Full driving licence required
    • IT literate, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
    • Fluent in English language

    The role will involve regular travel to client sites within the assigned area/region of UK.
