About the role

- There is travel expected in this role and nights away from home - around the UK - You are provided with a company car.
- Based in Maidenhead / South East
- Role is offered on a 24 month basis.
- ££27,560.00 + Company Car + Bonus + Benefits

- We are looking for an IT Graduate who is enthusiastic about IT and is willing to learn on the job.
- You will be mentored by our experienced IT staff and will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of technologies and systems.

- The IT Graduate will have access to all the IT functions and, depending on your skill set, may take on the following activities.
- Learning and utilising new technologies. As a recent IT Graduate, you'll need to be able to quickly pick up new programming languages, frameworks, platforms, etc. Staying on top of emerging technologies is crucial.
- Assisting with IT support and troubleshooting. Help desk, desktop support, and technical support roles are common starting points. You'll gain experience diagnosing and resolving software, hardware, and network issues.
- Participating in IT projects. Join project teams to assist with tasks like requirements gathering, system design, testing, debugging, documentation, etc. This allows you to gain well-rounded IT project experience.
- Providing recommendations and insights. Share your fresh perspective and new technical knowledge to provide ideas and insights on how to improve processes and systems. Look for opportunities to innovate.
- Developing technical skills. Build up your skills in areas like operating systems, databases, security, scripting, DevOps tools, and more. Certifications can help showcase your skills.
What are the requirements?
The candidate may possess some/all of the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field - This is the standard qualification for IT graduates. Common degrees include Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, etc.
- Master's degree in IT or Computer Science - While not always required, a Master's degree demonstrates more advanced skills and knowledge. Common degrees include Master of Science in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, etc.
- Certifications - IT graduates often complement their degrees with professional certifications like CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Cisco CCNA, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), etc. These validate technical skills and expertise in specific areas.
- Programming languages and frameworks - Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, JavaScript, C++ as well as frameworks like .NET and Ruby on Rails is highly valued. GitHub projects and contributions demonstrate coding skills.
- Internships - Completing one or more internships in IT or tech roles provides practical experience and skills. This gives graduates an edge when applying for entry-level jobs.
- Soft skills - While technical qualifications are essential, soft skills like communication, teamwork, problem-solving and work ethic are highly desirable too. These help graduates excel in IT roles.
- The mix of education, hard and soft skills, certifications, programming expertise and internship experience form the key qualifications for IT graduates aiming to start their careers.
