    In this role, the Interior Designer will join an established team to ensure new projects are taken from conceptual stage through development/prototype and into full production within tight timescales.

    Example responsibilities 

    • Produce detailed Interior Layouts using Siemens NX CAD software, working closely with all areas of design to ensure the Interior layout is optimised.
    • Design and produce production drawings for various parts and assemblies as required on new and existing projects, primarily using Siemens NX CAD software but also using AutoCAD as required.
    • Ensure new product parts are designed, and (working in liaison with the purchasing and planning depts.) numbered and ordered as required to enable the completion of the final project.
    • Continually ensure the bill of materials (BOM) is populated with the correct design related parts information.
    • Consider the exterior deck fit budget for a new project while working closely with the Finance and Supply Chain Departments.
    • Manage and prioritise multiple projects from initial conception through to production issue within tight deadlines and with the minimum of supervision.
    • Communicate ideas and concepts clearly to others involved in the design process and to liaise well within the development team.
    • Work within pre-determined drawing office structure and protocol, as in CAD standards, data management.
    • Work well within a small and focused team.

    Our ideal candidate

    • Has an Interior Design or Product Design degree at 2:1 or better or equivalent
    • Has experience with marine interior design, preferably in yachts
    • Has graphic design and general artistic skills
    • Has sound knowledge of 3-D design software, Autocad 2-D design & Siemens NX CAD software.
