Your New Role
Are you a junior quality professional who feels confident in a lab and production environment? Do you like to work on your own initiative and liaise closely with colleagues from the wider technical and other departments on-site? If so, this is a great opportunity to join and support our team in our Dunmurry, Manufacturing site. It is also a great opportunity to accelerate your career within a global firm!
Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Preparation and testing of material samples under evaluation.
- Testing of production batches submitted to the laboratory.
- Assisting the Materials Technologist in dealing with the calibration of internal lab equipment.
- Undertaking a range of weekly routines as well as documentation to assist in the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the lab.
The Experience, Qualifications and Skills You Will Have
- Practical experience of working in a Materials Technology, Manufacturing or Laboratory environment in a technical-related role
- A working knowledge of Quality Systems and Procedures
- Excellent IT & communication skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Desirable Criteria:
- A degree (or equivalent) in a Materials/Science related discipline.
- Previous experience working within a textiles environment.
- Can demonstrate excellent analytical skills
This successful candidate will be required to work on their own initiative and liaise closely with colleagues from the wider technical and other departments on-site, therefore, excellent communications skills and attention to detail is key within the role. Time/Priority management and IT Skills are also important.
