    The Anglian Water is a totally collaborative organisation made up of seven partner companies (Anglian Water, SWECO, Balfour Beatty, Barhale, MMB, MWH Treatment, and Skanska) and an extended supply chain, delivering over half of Anglian Water’s capital investment programme.

    With around 800 projects being worked on across the region, we work closely with Anglian Water and their customers to deliver the best infrastructure and non-infrastructure solutions to keep the water flowing.

    The role

    We’re looking for a Digital Graduate to join the Sweco team delivering innovative digital solutions for the Anglian Water @One Alliance.

    Innovation and technology play a key role in unlocking and optimising our potential to outperform, which is why at the heart of the @one alliance is​​​​​​​ a culture of driving value through innovation. Central to this are our Digital team who are continually striving to implement a forward-thinking strategy and business plan to establish us as a leading player in the UK digital space!

    As our new Digital Graduate, you’ll have the opportunity to gain fantastic exposure and enhance your skills and experience whilst adding value to the team. You’ll contribute and advise the digital team with new projects and ideas for improved efficiencies aligning with Anglian Water goals. This will include highlighting new technologies for potential projects to be submitted through the TAP process.

    Not only will you have a direct impact and input into the evolving Digital strategy, but you’ll support digital team with development and maintenance of digital solutions issued out to the business. These will be primarily covered on Microsoft 365 platforms which are used throughout the business.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Build and develop new Apps (PowerApps), flows, SharePoint sites and assist roll outs. Contribute with developing & testing
    • Assist with APIs and data flows from cloud platforms (e.g. BIM360) to provide automation in the team and also, automated data links to different platforms.
    • Contribute to the successful implementation of new digital platforms and new functionality within existing systems by getting involved with a host of key activities
    • Liaising with stakeholders to keep them up to date on the projects and keep things progressing smoothly. This will include small amount of project management and meeting creations
    • Reporting and analysis from other teams such as Document Control to assist admin management.

    About you

    In this developmental role, we understand you may not possess a wealth of experience and whilst implementation exposure and experience and understanding of programming structures would be beneficial, we are more focussed on your behaviours and potential to grow. Having, or due to complete a degree, ideally in Engineering Computer Science or a related field, you’ll have a passion for all things digital and be enthusiastic to implement your learning to date into a practical environment.

    With a willingness to learn, you’ll have an interest in the product lifecycle and be able to showcase strong core technical competence alongside a customer centric approach. Operating as a true team player, you’ll be keen to hone your stakeholder management skills by utilising your strong communication skills to sell process improvement ideas where possible.
