We are currently looking for a talented and motivated Graduate Transport Planner to join our Transport Planning team in Scotland, based in Glasgow.
What does the role involve?
You will join an ambitious, talented and experienced team, working on a broad range of exciting projects, supporting a range of clients across the public and private sectors.
You will provide transport planning input to masterplans, development projects, transportation infrastructure schemes and travel behaviour change initiatives. Our graduates are valued as much as any other member of the team and you will be supported and mentored through a career pathway which reflects your ambition and talents.
Requirements
To be successful in this role you’ll possess:
- Knowledge of graphics and GIS packages such as Mapinfo, ArcGIS and AutoCAD.
- A degree in transport planning or related discipline and a desire to work towards a professional qualification.
- Some awareness of strategic, micro-simulation and junction transport modelling packages.
- Graduate membership of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (GradCIHT) is preferred but isn't essential.
- A good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, in particular Excel as well as AutoCAD.
- A genuine interest in transport planning; some previous experience would be advantageous.
- The ability to work on your own initiative and seek assistance when required as well the ability to work collaboratively with others to form strong positive working relationships with both colleagues and clients.
