About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our company as a behavioural science & research intern for a 10-week paid Summer Internship.
iptiQ is the primary insurance division of Swiss Re, the world's leading reinsurer. In iptiQ we work with partners brands to offer insurance to customers around the world. Established 8 years ago, iptiQ is experiencing strong growth, driven by a vision to radically improve the way insurance works – by making it easier to deal with and more rewarding.
Within iptiQ, the Behavioural Insight Group, is a small team of 3 behavioural scientists based in London, serving the different iptiQ partners around the world (US, EMEA and APAC) with responsibility for Customer Experience (CX), Behavioural Science and Customer Insight. This is the team you would be joining.
What you'll do
Your main role is to support our lead researcher and help the team in conducting research for our partners, across a whole variety of methods: qual interviews, call listening, quantitative research (e.g. surveys) and in-field testing (e.g. a/b testing)
Day to day tasks will involve
- Writing surveys
- Interviewing customers, sales agents, and other stakeholders
- Knowledge management of insights and research reports
- Using behavioural science to help design interventions & digital experiences
The common theme to everything you do will be understanding customers through the lens of Behavioural Science and Customer Insight.
About you
- You're a motivated self-starter who is willing to independently carry out research tasks
- You're a great team player and are good with people; you can work effectively in a cross-functional team where you create buy-in from a whole variety of colleagues, showing them the value of research.
- You're passionate about the opportunities that lie at intersection between research and behavioural science
- You are in the process of completing, or have completed a post graduate qualification in social sciences, e.g., Masters in Behavioural Science, Research Methods, Psychology, etc with hands on experience in designing and carrying out research studies
- (optional) Experience in design thinking and user experience design
