The Junior BI Developer will play an essential role in our Business Intelligence Agile Development team in being involved in the design and development of the BI product as well as assisting in the assessment and implementation of new database technologies. While receiving training both from the team and through external courses, this role will allow you to build on your current SQL knowledge to become an expert in all things data.

What will I be involved in?
As a Developer in the BI team, you will help develop business intelligence solutions for health and social care. You'll find yourself immersed in all aspects of the Microsoft Business Intelligence toolset including SQL, Reporting Services, Integration Services and Analysis Services including SQL2014, SQL2019 and Azure cloud computing services. Once you have built up your BI background you will support the wider business by taking on responsibility in providing technical support to ensure the effective and efficient running of our BI product in all internal and customer environments. This is a role that will provide full training and development to help you to grow as the company grows and evolves. Other responsibilities include:
- Working with other product development teams and a team of Deployment Reporting Specialists to gather requirements to design and develop reporting solutions for our products.
- Liaising with internal and external customers in the design and scoping of functionality including the investigation and resolution of software issue
- The role will also form part of the on call out of hours support rota for the BI team
What you need to succeed
Experience of working with other Software Testers and QA analysts in an agile software development environment will ultimately lead you to your success. With a solid understanding of software testing techniques and QA processes. The following will also be key to help you build your skillset further:
- BSC or equivalent in a software engineering discipline or equivalent knowledge within an SQL background
- Good Understanding of Relational Databases in particular SQL Server
- Thirst for knowledge within Business Intelligence
