SYSTRA are currently recruiting for a Graduate Consultant - Data Science to join our growing team. We are looking for an individual with an inquiring mind and a passion for data analytics.

SYSTRA is an international consultancy with a growing data science team. You will work on projects with other data scientists, using analytical tools and environments to help develop and deliver data science products including processing pipelines, interactive dashboards, machine learning models, as well as statistical analysis and insight; working closely with the intended customers and business experts to scope and design the most effective and appropriate product.

Job Description

This role would suit someone with academic or professional experience in the industry, keen to start or switch to a career in data science. Responsibilities will include:

  • Applying tools and libraries suitable for solving a range of data science problems
  • Applying data visualization tools and implementing dashboard solutions that are customer focused, to translate data into useful information
  • Conduct research from which you'll develop prototypes and proof of concepts
  • Assist other teams within SYSTRA Ltd’s Consultancy Division, as and when required.

Requirements

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A demonstrable interest in data science;
  • A demonstrable interest in transport, the environment and sustainability;
  • A relevant degree (computer science, data science, mathematics, statistics, physics, engineering);
  • Evidence of strong numerical skills;
  • Experience in one or more programming languages used for data analytics/processing (Pythion/R/SQL etc.)
  • Experience using PowerBI or Tableau desirable
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Self motivated
  • Good time management/organisational skills and
  • Experience of MS Office, in particular Excel.
