The role

As a Propositions & Partnerships Executive you'll be helping the Commercial Strategy team to develop TalkTalk’s overall customer proposition. You’ll do this primarily by a) assisting in the development of strong working relationships with our partners like Amazon, Google & Netflix, and b) playing a key role in bringing new products and propositions to market. You’ll have the chance to work with a wide set of stakeholders, both internal and external, and will see plenty of opportunity to influence at a more senior level. No two days are the same as you’ll be working on a wide variety of verticals including TV, Broadband, Voice and Security.

You’ll be supported in your personal development but also given the autonomy to contribute ideas and find your own creative solutions to problems. Your responsibilities will include gathering market research and insight, aiding in establishing and maintaining commercial partnerships, and supporting the development and execution of our propositions strategy across all products.

You’ll work closely with a variety of business functions, supporting Propositions and the rest of the Commercial Strategy team in building business cases, creating partnership agreements, managing working groups, communicating our plans, and bringing products to market. As you grow into the role you’ll also have projects to own, and an open remit to demonstrate and expand your skillset as you look towards the next step in your career at TalkTalk.

Your responsibilities

  • Gathers inputs from customer research, behaviour, trends and market context and uses to inform commercial thinking
  • Stays on top of the latest developments in the telco market and briefs team in the context of impact to TalkTalk.
  • Helps in negotiating partnership contracts to reach legally and commercially viable outcomes for all parties
  • Liaises with Commercial Finance functions to build business cases for new intiatives
  • Works closely with Product Managers through new product development and lifecycle management of existing products.
  • Works closely with Marketing and Sales to maintain a constant feedback loop with our customer facing functions.
  • Helps execute Go To Market plans for proposition launches, managing a virtual team of stakeholders
  • Support rest of the Commercial Strategy team with major product launches
  • Support on the day-to-day management of in-life propositions

What you'll need

To be successful in the role you must have:

  • Minimum 2:1 degree in any subject. Business related degrees would be advantageous.
  • A curious mindset and the desire to always keep up with the latest industry trends
  • A hunger to learn and develop your career by taking ownership of your personal development
  • You will be a great communicator and storyteller.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good stakeholder management
  • You will need to think like a customer, and understand how TalkTalk positions itself in the market
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to negotiate
  • Experience in consumer commercial / proposition or product development ideal but not essential.
  • An ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, in an ever-changing industry
