Role Description
We have in-house specialists operating across every financial discipline, including Business Reporting & Planning, Reporting & Group Control, Business Partnering, Taxation, Treasury and Mergers & Acquisitions. As a member of our Graduate Programme you’ll have the opportunity to gain experience across a number of these areas, as well as building up in-depth experience of the broader Finance function and how it interacts with our business.
You’ll lay the foundations for your career with placements in the core areas of Transactional Processes, General Ledger Accounting, Manufacturing Accounting & Reporting, Sales & Marketing Accounting and Reporting, and Business Partnering.
The scale and diversity of the work we undertake means that Tata is an immense arena for learning and development. We’ll support you as you work towards a world-class professional qualification such as CIMA or ACCA in our accredited training and development programme. Upon completion of the Graduate Programme you’ll be a professionally qualified accountant with extensive experience that will be the spring board for your future career with one of the world’s most geographically diversified steel producers.
You must have at least a 2:1 Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, bolstered by a passion for finance an inquisitive mind and love to solve problems. Ideally, you’ll have some relevant work experience too, perhaps gained through an Internship or Placement.

Tata Steel offers a development programme, with a 70-20-10 model of learning and the opportunity to achieve your first appointment from the 12-month mark, dependent on your progress.
During that first 12 months, we will give you real projects to deliver, along with formal training to help you develop your programme skills, influence people and manage effectively. During this time, you will have opportunities to work collaboratively with various departments to discover the best solutions whilst ensuring solutions proposed align with business strategic goals.
