At Taylor Wimpey, we’re looking for passionate, motivated undergraduates currently pursuing an RTPI-accredited Planning degree to join our Strategic Land Placement Programme.
This placement offers you the chance to dive deep into the world of Strategic Land & Planning, learning how we identify, evaluate, and secure land for development while gaining valuable insight into the planning processes that shape a FTSE 100 business.

What You’ll Do
During your placement, you’ll:
- Learn about strategic land identification, technical assessments, and financial valuation of land.
- Gain insight into securing land opportunities, obtaining planning permissions, and influencing planning allocations.
- Experience other areas of the business to build a strong commercial foundation and broaden your knowledge of the housebuilding industry.
- Work on meaningful projects and tasks that will shape Taylor Wimpey’s future.
What We’re Looking For
To join our programme, you’ll need to be:
- Studying for a degree with RICS or RTPI accreditation (specialising in planning or surveying).
- Able to travel independently to meetings, sites, and client visits.
- A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Eager to learn and passionate about the housebuilding industry.
