TE Connectivity’s Software Systems Engineering Teams provide functional and empirical analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of software operating/automation systems, including, but not limited to, utility, development, and diagnostic software. They perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost, risk, supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
We are seeking an embedded software/electronics engineer for an exciting, highly visible 12 month internship in a small R&D team who work on a diverse range of software and electronics projects across the full spectrum of the TE product portfolio
Job responsibilities
- Embedded electronics and software development across a variety of projects and platforms.
- Working with the electronics and mechanical team develop project concepts.
- Developing test plans, test frameworks and unit tests.
What your background should look like
- Candidates will most likely be studying for BS/MS Elec. Eng., Computer Eng. or Software engineering and tracking to at least a 2:1 degree.
- They will have exposure to both hardware and software.
- They will have some programming experience.
- They will have a desire to work in embedded systems.
- Experience of electronics design and schematic capture would be beneficial.
- Experience of programming languages such as C/C++ or Python would be highly desirable.
