The Role

We have a number of Graduate Discipline Engineer vacancies across Discipline Engineering Departments.  Working on technology development and specialist assistance to subsea projects, Graduate Discipline Engineers will develop their technical expertise and ultimately provide technical leadership in their chosen subject.

Graduate Discipline Engineers will complete a 2-year structured engineering training programme covering all the technical competences required to fulfil the role of Discipline Engineer.

The Graduate Discipline Engineer training curriculum consists of placement in chosen engineering discipline team and other non‑technical functions within TechnipFMC's UK business. This will include office, possible offshore and site assignments designed to ensure an operational competence is achieved in all key tasks to be delivered by Discipline Engineers. The training programme is primarily delivered through on-the-job training, however it will be supplemented by formal training courses provided by both internal and external trainers. The role of a Discipline Engineer is summarised as follows:

  • Interface with project teams, front end commercial teams and other discipline engineers
  • Develop competence within an engineering discipline
  • Develop an awareness of all engineering disciplines
  • Undertake analysis/design engineering tasks within own ‘home’ disciplines
  • Communicate engineering findings with the wider team/client

Qualifications

Higher degree in any Engineering discipline, Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering.
