    Engineering Summer Internship Programme

    At TechnipFMC we never stop searching for talented people to join our organisation. We are looking for motivated and dedicated engineering students. Our focus is on identifying and onboarding individuals who can slot directly into our busy and challenging work environment, supporting operations both on and offshore.

    As our new Engineering Intern you will:

    • Be part of a training programme for an 8 week period.
    • Shadow and work with senior colleagues with a variety of tasks, gaining an in-depth understanding of the offshore energy sector.
    • Be expected to take on real responsibility in your home department.
    • Jump start your career whilst diversifying your skillset as an engineering student.

    The positions with us are diverse, and we need people who have the ability to lead, and work as part of a multi-functional and multi-cultural network / team. The nature of our business means that no two challenges or days are ever the same.

    The following intern vacancies are being offered with a start date in summer 2024:

    • Project Engineer – Oil & Gas, New Energy Ventures
    • Discipline Engineer – Flexible Pipeline Design, Structures, Installation Analysis & Rigid Pipeline Design

    Project Engineering Oil Gas Activities New Energy Venture Activities

    Shadow and work with senior colleagues with a variety of tasks, such as:

    • Prepare and review tender documentation.
    • Support the management of internal and external teams, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of work scopes.
    • Support the Engineering of offshore installation procedures.
    • Prepare / present work scope technical details to colleagues.
    • Overall gain an insight into how a project team functions & delivers projects to clients safely & efficiently.
    • Commercial orientated; evaluating markets and sizing potential business opportunities in the renewables segment.
    • Engineering & Construction; perform engineering studies for offshore renewables projects.

    Discipline Engineer Activities

    Shadow and work with senior colleagues with a variety of tasks, such as:

    • Interface with project teams, front end commercial teams and other discipline engineers.
    • Develop competence within an engineering discipline.
    • Develop an awareness of all engineering disciplines.
    • Undertake analysis/design engineering tasks within own ‘home’ disciplines.
    • Communicate engineering findings with the wider team/client.

    Qualifications

    • Studying any Engineering discipline, Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering.
