Graduate Discipline Engineer – Flexible Design
This team is responsible for delivering conceptual and / or detailed engineering studies based on instructions received from the Lead / Senior Flexible Engineer and the requirements specified by the client specification or the Project Management (or Tendering) Team.
The Graduate Discipline Engineer – Flexible Design shall ensure compliance with the design rules and procedures in force within TechnipFMC. The proposed designs must be economic, safe and in accordance with requirements.
Key activities range from dynamic analysis using FE software to flexible pipe and ancillary delivery, liaising with FlexiFrance and sub-contractors.
The team also ensures that conceptual and / or detail designs are properly worked through according to the Client’s requirements and to TechnipFMC internal engineering standards by
- Performing all engineering work related to flexible flowline and riser system design:
- Flexible pipe structure design.
- End fitting design.
- Flexible pipe behaviour analyses.
- Dynamic riser system optimisation and analysis.
- Specification of manufacturing of flexible pipe.
- Assist Project Management Teams in developing flexible product installation procedures.
Graduate Engineer - Rigid Pipeline
The UK rigid pipeline design team delivers engineering for KL, Perth (Australia), Africa, Norway, UK and Mediterranean regions. We are at the forefront of emerging analysis technologies and solve the most challenging subsea pipeline engineering problems. Understanding the risks and associated challenges of pipeline design enables us to make an effective contribution at all stages of the project cycle, whether that is early concept engineering or detailed design. Our breadth and depth of understanding and attention to detail ensure that we provide robust and cost effective solutions.

Graduate Project Engineer
Our project teams execute subsea and new energy projects in the North Sea, Mediterranean and beyond, utilising our fleet of 18 industry leading vessels.
This is a rotational engineering training programme, with placements in project teams, engineering teams and other functions within TechnipFMC's UK business including office, offshore and site assignments. The programme is designed to expose Graduate Project Engineers to a range of engineering experiences and is tailored to specific skill sets and interests. Exciting, fast paced work packages, on any aspect of design, procurement, installation, construction, inspection maintenance & repair contracts are assigned. Autonomy for management of these packages under the guidance of an industry leading engineering support network is encouraged. Opportunities are available for involvement in all facets of the project lifecycle, from pre-FEED concept generation through to completion of offshore execution and project close-out phases. Working offshore, supporting project delivery is an integral element to the programme, enabling Graduates to gain on-the-job experience of risk management and project execution. Potential exists to specialise in specific engineering disciplines, subject to business requirements. Fresh thinking is valued.
Graduate Discipline Engineer - Rigid Pipeline & Installation Technologies (RP&IT)
RP&IT focus is on the subsea rigid pipeline, installed using the reeled pipelay method. This includes pipeline engineering, reeling analysis, novel pipeline designs and materials. Complimentary to this is its involvement in subsea installation technologies; pipeline and umbilical installation systems, subsea lifting, subsea geotechnics and survey systems. This includes a growing involvement within the offshore New Energy Ventures (e.g. CO2 capture and hydrogen subsea pipelines and storage).
RP&IT has teams based in Aberdeen, Paris, Nimes, Krakow and Chennai, providing expert assistance for subsea projects, maintaining R&D effort in key technologies, driving efficiency through standardisation and digitalised engineering approaches. As a group centre of excellence, with a remit to increase visibility of technology through internal and external communication, it reinforces TechnipFMC industry leadership through international standards committees and conference representation. Graduate opportunities are in detailed engineering and technology development / qualification, with the potential to either become a specialist within specific subsea areas of interest or to coordinate complex projects.
Graduate Engineer - One Fleet
One Fleet is a dynamic team supporting the operation and maintenance of TechnipFMC state of the art fleet of vessels and mission critical assets including pipelay vessels, dive support vessels, construction vessels, remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), mobile equipment, pipelay equipment and cranes amongst others.
Working within asset management, fleet projects and naval architect teams, all leveraging engineering excellence to deliver best in industry assets and operational performance, our positions will provide a wide and varied scope, opportunities for international travel, development of project management skills and capabilities, access to high technology state of the art ships and equipment, and above all a rewarding challenge and excellent career development opportunities. Day to day activities may include; preparation of technical documentation and procedures, operational support to the fleet, interactions with internal customers to provide information and advice on equipment capabilities and best practices, delivery of engineering design packages including sea fastening, launch and recovery analysis and stability checks, planning and execution of maintenance scopes and new capital projects.
