    The successful candidate will support existing laboratory staff members with the development of new analytical methods, execution of method verifications, and routine stability testing among other responsibilities.

    Essential duties

    • Assist lab staff with the development of new formulations.
    • Validation and transfer of new methods.
    • To be capable of using all the analytical equipment within the Laboratory in a competent and careful manner.
    • Assist with the writing of specifications, analytical methods, stability and validation reports.
    • Analysis to the appropriate test specification of raw materials, finished goods, stability materials and any other routine and non-routine analysis as required.
    • Ensuring all bench reagents and volumetric solutions are prepared as described in documented procedures and have been standardised where necessary.
    • Support the development of methods and perform analytical testing according to protocols to support method transfer, verification and validation.
    • Assist with data input and analysis.
    • Organising the sampling and storage of stability samples.
    • Maintain neat and accurate analysis records.
    • Displays a positive, proactive approach to problem solving.

    Minimum qualification requirements

    Education

    • Pursuing a degree in pharmaceutical analysis, engineering, physical science or life science discipline.
    • Some experience working within a Chemistry lab is strongly preferred, as is knowledge of lab equipment such as HPLC, AA, UV, FTIR, etc.
    • Year 2 or 3 of undergraduate degree.

    Experience

    • No prior experience required

    Skills

    • Knowledge of GDP/GLP practices.
    • Experience with basic lab practices, cleanliness, documentation, etc.
    • Ability to analyse problems, contribute to decisions, and assist in the design and implementation of solutions.
    • Knowledge and use of relevant PC software applications and skills to use them effectively.
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
