Job description

You will work with the support of senior colleagues on flagship and regionally significant schemes across our defence, transport, infrastructure, healthcare, education, commercial, industrial and residential portfolios.  You will be involved with the production of designs, specifications, technical reports and site supervision.  You will be given the opportunity to work towards professional qualification with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) or the Chartered Institution of Water & Environmental Managers (CIWEM)

You will gain experience and understanding of flood risk management, sustainable drainage and managing the impact of climate change. You will be involved with the design of flood defence schemes, hydraulic modelling, water framework directive and flood risk assessments through to producing specifications, calculations and delivering technical reports.

You will develop skills in the use of AutoCAD, Flood Modeller Pro, TUFLOW, ArcGIS, QGIS, Civil 3D and MicroDrainage.

Quals/Skills requirements

  • Educated to degree level (BEng or MEng) in the field of Civil Engineering or Flood Risk specialist MSc or other relevant water or environmental degree
  • Have good interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work independently, a collaborative approach and a proven ability to deliver work on time.
  • Team player displaying enthusiasm, flexibility and versatility.
  • Have a desire to build upon your existing learning and developing your professional development with Tetra Tech.
