Opportunity
Ransomes Jacobsen Ltd (part of Textron Specialized Vehicles) are seeking a Marketing Intern for a 12-month placement to join our Marketing and Product Management Team in Ipswich, Suffolk. You will work closely with other members of the Marketing & Communications teams, in addition to other interns, on various projects. Projects may include but not be limited to: marketing tactics implementation, data and project analysis, preparation of plans and timelines, tradeshow and events support, database creation and management, customer service and sales projects.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- Conduct market research at the request of the business and marketing team with minimal supervision;
- Participate in other projects within the marketing team to develop additional skillsets;
- Provide creative input for strategic marketing campaign development;
- Assist in development and execution of marketing plans across multiple channels;
- Provide day-to-day support to Senior Director, Marketing and Events and other members of the marketing team as requested by your supervisor;
- Support cross-calibration internally within the marketing & communications teams and with other functions across the business;
- Running and editing the Intern Newsletter;
- Assist in marketing and advertising promotional activities (e.g. social media, direct mails);
- Monitoring all social media platforms for trending news, ideas and feedback.
Qualifications/Skills/Experience Required
- A minimum of five GCSE’s grade A – C (including English and Maths) or equivalent;
- You should be enrolled in a relevant Business/Marketing/Communications degree that offers a 12-month industrial placement opportunity;
- Passion for Marketing and a future career in Marketing;
- Prior internships/work experience in Marketing roles is advantageous, but not essential;
- You should be resourceful and a good problem-solver;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Familiarity with marketing computer software and online applications;
- Able to work under pressure with a flexible attitude.
