The role

This position will support the Real Estate group in London, providing analytical and research support for all potential transactions and will actively participate in, and manage, due diligence efforts. The Intern Analyst will also assist with portfolio management as directed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall analytical and research support, including financial modeling and market research;
  • Assist with due diligence in potential transactions; manage outside accounting, consulting and other expert advisors to draft reports;
  • Assist with the financing of potential transactions;
  • Generate presentations on potential transactions; help create investment committee memos;
  • Help to oversee our investment portfolio and work with joint venture partners;
  • Assist with the process of exiting our investments;
  • Work on monthly financial reporting to investors;
  • Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive and confidential issues; and
  • Other reasonably related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Strong academic record from a premier educational institution;
  • Prior investment banking or consulting experience with a corporate finance or real estate focus (ideally);
  • Strong modeling and analytical skills required;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player;
  • Self-starter; has confidence in asking questions and ability to work independently in a fast-paced but collegiate environment;
  • Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail and the ability to prioritize;
  • Mature, reliable and hard-working, strong executive presence;
  • Motivated and persistent - goes the extra mile; and
  • Fluency in German would be a plus (but not a requirement).
