Insight Days 2021
At Frontline, we run insight days to give those who are interested in the Frontline programme an opportunity to find out more about pursuing a career in social work and making a difference in society.
Frontline is a social work charity working to ensure that all children in England have a safe and stable home, and that their life chances are not limited by their social or family circumstance. We create social change for these children and their families by developing excellent social work practice and leadership through our programmes and by building a movement of leaders in social work and broader society as part of our Fellowship. In order to achieve this, we aim to have 4,000 impactful fellows by 2025
One way we work towards this mission is by recruiting and developing high-potential graduates to join the social work profession and provide life-changing support to those who need it most.
As part of Frontline’s ongoing commitment to diversity and inclusion we are running several insight days designed to give people from a wide range of backgrounds an opportunity to understand what a career in child protection social work is like.
At our insight day you will:
- Learn about the Frontline programme and what it means to be a social worker through a range of interactive workshops
- Receive top tips from experts in our recruitment team on how to master our application stages
- Interact with those in the social work profession, sharing their honest experience, through workshops and discussion
- Understand and reflect on diversity, difference and why it’s so important in social work
Insight days are open to all, but we especially welcome attendance from those who identify as the following: BAME*, men, and / or first-generation university students.
Everyone who attends an insight day will also be offered one to one support with their application should they apply to the Frontline programme, and will be invited to submit an application as part of our early bird application process.
Insight days will be delivered virtually, and there are available dates between May and July 2021.
*BAME backgrounds can include any of the following: Bangladeshi, Indian, Pakistani, Chinese, or any other Asian background; African, Caribbean or any other black background; White and Asian, white and black African, white and black Caribbean or any other mixed ethnic background; other-Arab.
Insight days are part of Frontline’s positive action programme to encourage diversity and tackle underrepresentation on Frontline’s Leadership Development programme, in line with the Equality Act 2010 UK and seeks to encourage applicants from a broad range of backgrounds. As such, underrepresented groups (as listed) will receive priority places. We value diversity greatly at Frontline, as we believe social workers should reflect the diversity of the communities that they serve.
Places will be limited so register now to be contacted when applications open in Spring 2021
