Purpose and scope of the role

The HR Officer provides professional HR support and co-ordination for The Hamlet. Working with staff from across the organisation as well as volunteers and trustees, the post holder is responsible for ensuring that employment policies and procedures are kept updated and compliant with UK employment law. Working to high levels of confidentiality the role includes sourcing appropriate specialist advice for complex cases, providing administrative support for investigation and disciplinary meetings and participating in the recruitment of new staff.

  • Manage the full recruitment cycle from job posting to onboarding.
  • Assist in developing and implementing innovative HR policies and procedures.
  • Handle employee relations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Support the Central Services team with various administrative tasks.
