    The role

    We are looking for an Engagement Coordinator to coordinate creative activity and pastoral care for The Lowry's ‘Arts for Social Change Programme’ and targeted engagement work. The programme supports young people experiencing challenging circumstances including Young Carers, Looked After Children, Young Parents and Young People At Risk of, or Experiencing Homelessness.

    This will include coordinating a variety of projects ranging from one off taster sessions to regular projects that will engage targeted or underserved young people and families tackling challenging issues most relevant to them.

    An excellent communicator, the post holder will provide regular pastoral support to the young people as their key point of contact and liaise with artists, parents, guardians, carers and agencies supporting the young people.

    The Engagement Coordinator will be responsible for engaging young people who are experiencing extreme educational, social and economic disadvantage, and families who wouldn’t usually access arts activity, in Salford and the surrounding areas. They will be working with some of the most vulnerable groups in the area. They will also make and maintain relationships with local service providers and project partners as well as supporting freelancers, support artists and volunteers.
