    The role

    The Open University is recruiting a research technician to support The Wolfson Foundation funded research goals across the STEM Faculty. The postholder will carry out various analyses primarily focusing on GC-MS and SIFT-MS and will work closely with the Wolfson academics and students to enable the delivery of the Faculty’s research and commercialisation objectives.

    This position is a technical support role, and the post-holder will work closely with their counterparts in SPS (School of Physical Sciences), and the wider technical team.

    Skills and experience

    You will have a degree or equivalent in a relevant scientific subject (e.g., Analytical Chemistry) as well as Theoretical knowledge of GC and/or MS (ideally GC-MS and or SIFT-MS). You will have Proven experience of working in research laboratories or similar environment, including evidence of relevant professional training. You will be organised, diligent and able to work as a critical member of a small research team.
