As a result of our expansion plans, and our continued ongoing success we are seeking a Product Information Assistant to be based at our Head Office in Plymouth.

About the role

Within this role, reporting to the Content Manager, you will play an important part in the onboarding of thousands of new products across multiple departments to The Range website, app, and in-store ordering systems – increasing our already huge offering to customers.

Working closely with our suppliers and Buying teams, you will be sourcing the information and imagery required to create quality product listings for our customers. You will also be expected to input the essential product information to our product management system and manage the flow of new products so that items go live in time for their launch dates.

Blending communication and data entry, this administrative role is ideal for those looking to enter a career in eCommerce within a fast-growing retail operation.

Core responsibilities

  • Liaising with suppliers to obtain key product information and quality imagery
  • Building and maintaining good relationships with suppliers and Buyers
  • Reviewing and amending the information supplied to ensure they meet our high standards
  • Inputting and uploading product information to our product management system
  • Managing the flow of new products to ensure they meet their launch dates in stores
  • Responding to requests for additional information to improve the quality of our product listings

Knowledge & skills

  • Some experience in eCommerce or Retail is preferred, but not essential
  • Confident using spreadsheet software such as Excel or Google Sheets
  • Great communication skills, able to use email and instant messenger software
  • A keen eye for fine details
  • An interest in home décor, kitchen, leisure, and garden products
  • An understanding of eCommerce or Retail
  • Great organisational skills and an ability to use initiative
  • Hard-working, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
