The Royal Opera House continues to lead the way in opera, ballet, music and dance both live on stage and through multiple digital platforms, from live streaming to worldwide cinema screenings. The work of our Audiences and Media Department focuses on growing the love, advocacy and demand for the art presented by the Royal Opera House, so that we can also grow our audience-generated revenues.
About the role
We are seeking to recruit two junior designers/artworkers to join our in-house Creative Studios team. The Studios team are responsible for creating the marketing campaigns that promote and amplify our output of world class ballet and opera, as well as providing support internally to promote our commercial ventures, such as retail and hospitality.
The role will suit a talented junior designer with specific art-working skills who can demonstrate a flexible approach, good time management skills and the ability to engage with a range of stakeholders across the organisation. Our ideal candidate will have:
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign is a must)
- Demonstrable track record of art-working, design, and production skills - please include a link to your online portfolio of work if you have one
- Experience of print and digital design, with an excellent eye for detail, and strong typographic skills
- Experience in Adobe Animate software and creating digital banners for advertising
- The ability to work to tight project constraints and deadlines, whilst retaining accuracy
- The ability to contribute with ideas, working in a creative team environment
