We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious Intern to join our EMEA pricing team based in our Centre of Excellence in Inchinnan, Paisley.
Position summary
Are you a problem solver who loves a challenge and wants to help guide our pricing strategies? The Pricing Intern in EMEA will support revenue and operating income goals thru price attainment within Thermo Fisher Scientific. Help build organizational capabilities that enable the team to provide pricing insights and recommendations to Senior Leadership and business partners. You will have the opportunity to build your network across the organization with the various tasks you will support. This internship will provide you with the opportunity to understand the role and impact of pricing on all areas of a company from profitability to customer experience and sales.
Key responsibilities
- Provide Commercial teams across 6 Divisions with pricing guidance and pricing tool support, supporting a business driving $4.2BN
- Support Web enablement and agreement alignment for colleagues in an additional 3 divisions
- Retrieve, consolidate, analyse and summarize data to support overall business success
- Perform monthly and ad-hoc data analysis for various internal customers
- Support in the triage of requests/queries
- Support the development and refinement of tools, policies, and procedures that enhance existing performance
Minimum requirements/qualifications
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are crucial
- Good presentation skills
- Good written and oral communication, as well as influencing skills is required
- Demonstrated technical ability, particularly with excel spreadsheet applications
- Experience using PowerBI and leverage Office 365 to drive automation would be a strong advantage
