The internship is a 9-month part-time position to provide support for multiple projects (including ‘live’ projects) under supervision, with tasks varying to degree by project and participate in targeted self-improvement projects. The Team
The complex and rapidly changing payer environment is becoming increasingly difficult to navigate. Our expert Value and Access Consulting practice, comprising industry leaders, former payers, policy experts, and experienced strategists, help clients steer a path through diverse evidence requirements and potential payer barriers to achieve optimal price and access. Dedicated Value and Access Consulting teams based in Europe and the US have been providing global payer research and pricing, Health Technology Assessment (HTA), reimbursement and market access strategy advice to clients in the biopharmaceutical industry for two decades. Our work is underpinned by relationships with high level payers and advisers covering 45 markets, and integration with world-class experts across clinical development, regulatory, HTA, market access, HEOR and RWE practices.
Responsibilities
- Assisting team members with designated tasks that drive the overall objectives of the function
- Participating in practice and/or organization wide special projects aimed to achieving annual priorities
- Attending and participating in meetings and conference calls
- Participating in training sessions relevant to your designated functional area
- Desk research (landscape review, familiarization with HTA documentation)
- Supporting practice via project management tasks (e.g., organize internal material and facilitate access to information)
- Support project teams on an ad hoc basis across different tasks to experience the diversity of work undertaken by the practice area
- Be assigned to at least one, preferably more, live client projects in supernumerary capacity working alongside an experienced minimum grade of Associate Consultant to provide guidance and coaching in specific tasks assigned to them
- To run a journal club session or to deliver a short presentation to practice on an area agreed with their manager or “buddy”
- Other ad-hoc tasks under the direction of the Evidera supervisor
Education and Experience
- Must be enrolled or completed an MSc and/or PhD program that achieved or are currently on target for a 2.1 honors degree or higher in Economics, Health Economics, Pharmacy, Medical Science, Biological/natural science and (biomedical) engineering or other relevant market access discipline
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and strong attention to detail, with proven ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively
- A high level of self-motivation and a proactive approach to work
- Analytical skills and intellectual curiosity
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments
- Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in the practice and collaboratively in a cross functional environment
- Good English and grammar skills
- High level of proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
