    Are you an enthusiastic journalist? Do you thrive under a high-pressure, breaking news environment? If so, this may be the job for you. Reuters is looking for a video desk producer to join our global video hub in London.

    The role

    You will help deliver breaking and planned news coverage to more than 1,000 broadcasters and hundreds of digital outlets around the world. You will have a strong ability to remain focused and organised under pressure and a passion for working with high-performance teams. You will work across our intake, live, and output operations, including niche segments such as Entertainment, UK and Sports. You should be excited about international news and have an ability to work to tight deadlines.

    This is a full-time desk position on a shift pattern that involves some weekend work and night shifts.

    As our trusted Video Producer, you will:

    • Work as part of our news gathering team on the London desk coordinating and bringing in edited and live coverage from across the world to deliver to clients at speed.
    • Produce tight, well-written accurate news copy to deadline.
    • Be customer-focused and pitch story ideas which resonates across broadcast and digital platforms.
    • Uphold Reuters Trust Principles of independence, integrity and freedom from bias.

    Please apply if you have...

    • At least 12 months experience in professional journalism in a broadcast or agency environment.
    • Excellent news judgment and a passion for breaking news.
    • Strong video editing and script writing skills.
    • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
    • Have a clear understanding of the news video needs of major broadcasters and digital clients.
    • Ability to drive speed and accuracy.
    • A track record of being an organized team player.
    • Fluent English – written and oral.
