    Our Structural Engineering practice collaborates with architects, building owners, and builders to design elegant solutions for projects of all types, sizes, and levels of complexity. From designing the world’s tallest buildings and most extended spans to engineering inventive “jewel-box” structures and designing major expansion projects, we continually seek the best balance among the demands of form, function, sustainability, constructability, schedule, and budget.

    We have an opportunity for a Structural Engineering Intern for Summer 2024 at Thornton Tomasetti's London office. 

    Responsibilities

    • Structural analysis, design and detailing of steel, concrete, masonry and timber systems
    • Coordination of design work with in-house staff as well as other design professionals including Architects and other Engineering disciplines
    • Possible involvement in R&D activities
    • Preparation of construction documents within a BIM environment

    Requirements

    • Undergraduate entering their final term with a concentration in CIVIL, STRUCTURAL or ARCHITECTURAL engineering.
    • Excellent academic record, with a passion for structural engineering.
    • Comfortable with communicating with others in person, over the phone and via email.
    • Microsoft Excel experience for data management desirable.
    • Experience in Rhino and Grasshopper helpful, but not essential.
