The Team and Role
TikTok's SMB team aims to help businesses and brands of all sizes unleash their creative side, connect with our audience, or perhaps be discovered! From designing scaled sales and service delivery programs to ensuring our customers have best-in-class tools and products at their fingertips, our SMB team combines operational expertise with a customer-centric mindset to help businesses achieve their marketing goals on TikTok, no matter how big or small.
Business Development Representatives (BDRs) will be responsible for identifying, qualifying and connecting with potential advertisers. They will be the core development advocate for the SMB team and will work within our sales team to establish best practices for driving client volume, acquisition and engagement.
Working closely with SMB stakeholders, the BDR will establish new client relationships to focus on driving customer acquisition, revenue and bottom line business impact. This role entails:
- Drive new advertiser generation for the SMB team across a variety of direct clients and agencies and also supporting scalable sales programs.
- Develop and implement best practices for client acquisition and sales. - Identify, engage and qualify new advertiser opportunities for the Strategic Sales team
- Educate and understand clients needs connecting opportunities and TikTok advertising solutions
- Reviewing, researching and engaging inbound leads and event participants
- Keeping up to date with key competitor advertisers and suitability for TikTok.
- Exploring VC/Investor leads from research and external communications.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree, preferably in business, media, advertising or a related discipline
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Passion for social media and advertising
- Highly organised individual
- Self-starter & quick learner with a can-do spirit
- Proactive – ability to work alone when required
- Knowledge of the digital and media industry a plus
- Ability to multitask
- Must be able to handle confidential and sensitive information with honesty and integrity
- Additional language skills such as German, Dutch, or Swedish speakers would be advantageous.
