About the role
Barclays, TLT and Simmons & Simmons have collaborated to offer aspiring financial services lawyers a joint legal training contract. Across the two year training contract, this incredible opportunity will combine a year’s private practice experience at either TLT or Simmons & Simmons and a year’s in-house experience at Barclays. Upon qualification, you will be able to apply for a qualified role at your private practice firm (TLT or Simmons & Simmons) or Barclays, or both!
This is an exciting and rare opportunity to develop a wide range of skills and gain well-rounded experience across two organisations* Applications should be made online directly to TLT and/or Simmons & Simmons by 17 February 2023.
*Please note that while you can apply to both firms should you wish, the joint training contract will see you working for either TLT or Simmons & Simmons for the 12 months in private practice.

Each firm is currently recruiting for one trainee to start in September 2023 and a further one trainee to start in March 2024 (to be based in London, salary is competitive). To be eligible to apply, you must have a qualifying law degree or GDL conversion and have successfully completed the LPC and received your results by September 2023. The recruitment process will be run by each firm in partnership with Barclays, and you’ll have the chance to meet members from both relevant organisations and explore what it would be like to be part of the team.
