    The position

    The Graduate Reservoir Engineer will be allocated to the West of Shetland Asset Geoscience team and will actively contribute to HSE evaluation of operations; develop, recommend and implement reservoir management strategies to maximise the value of the Asset (i.e. production optimisation); identify, develop and promote opportunities for further development of the fields. The Post holder may be called onsite to witness operations on an ad hoc basis.
    As a Graduate Reservoir Engineer, you will have the opportunity to develop yourself and gain experience through:

    • Working in close collaboration with his / her Reservoir Geologist and Geophysicist colleagues, completion engineers, well performance engineers, operations geologists, etc.
    • Reservoir Monitoring: Review of reservoir production data in order to optimise field production and reserves. Propose and prepare production enhancing/data acquisition operations as appropriate. Prepare Well Intervention Requests and Well Preparation process. Document and archive relevant analyses. Update the Reservoir Monitoring document.
    • Supporting the generation of production forecasts and reserves / resources evaluation using either decline curves or reservoir simulation techniques, under supervision of a Senior Reservoir Engineer or Team Leader
    • Witnessing relevant operations such as PLT’s, perforations, Cased hole Pulse Neutron logging, Well Testing, offshore PVT sampling and production chemistry
    • Presenting evaluations at Partner meetings and HQ peer reviews

    Some of the day-to-day responsibilities will include

    • Accountability for Reservoir Engineering data inputs in Wells Preparations Process and Well Interventions requests for reservoir pressure evaluations.
    • Carrying out accurate reservoir modelling and synthesis for operated fields in association with Geophysicists, Geologists and other Reservoir Engineers (Under the supervision of more experienced Reservoir Engineers.
    • Witnessing onsite operations on an ad hoc basis
    • Archiving and documenting relevant reservoir engineering data.
    • Participating as an effective and adaptable team member. Seeking learning opportunities and applying enhanced skills at every opportunity

    For the position we are looking for

    • Minimum BSc Hons Degree in Petroleum Engineering, other branches of engineering or related disciplines (MSc preferred).
    • Recent graduate with 0 to 2 years of relevant industry experience. Students in their final year of studies (BSc or MSc) and graduating in 2023 can also apply.
    • Extracurricular activities, voluntary work or transferable work experience is an advantage
