Job Summary

We are looking for a Graduate Accountant who is seeking to pursue a finance career in a manufacturing industry. who can demonstrate process improvement experience, good excel skills, comfortable to collaborate with multiple people in different departments and ability to deal with change processes.

Responsibilities

• Dealing with daily post – sorting invoices, statements etc
• Matching of incoming supplier invoice to purchase orders
• Accurate Coding of invoices using nominal ledger codes and cost centres
• Entry of invoices onto computer system
• Reconciliation of supplier statements
• Liaising with colleagues and suppliers to resolve queries
• Filing & other housekeeping tasks
• Gain understanding and document “as is” processes
• Define small projects to deliver process improvements
• Once established in purchase ledger this role will progress into VAT, statutory work, SOX, Audits, T&E expenses, and review improvements within the companies operating model

Qualifications

• Graduate in a Finance Degree 2.2 minimum (preferably 2.1 or above)

Key Competencies

• Competent in the use of accounting software and strong Excel Skills, such as export of files from SAP into Excel, VLOOKUP, PIVOT handling, MS Office – Outlook, Word
• Motivated individual who wants to make a positive contribution
• Ability to use logic, critical thinking, and deductive reasoning skills
• Capable of completing intricate tasks with a high degree of accuracy
• Confident communicator in both written and spoken language
