You’ll be joining our fantastic K2 Product team in and play a key part in the development of our global and market-leading products.

We are currently looking for a Junior Test Automation Engineer to become part of our Asset Management business, where we develop the K2 solution which is a functionality rich Asset, Facilities and Estates Management solution, which is used in the Local Government, Ministry of Education of New Zealand, Higher Education, NHS. The K2 eco system comprises of a desktop application, a responsive MVC customer portal and IOS and Android.

The Role

The role of the Junior Test Automation Engineer is to develop a deep understanding and detailed knowledge of test strategy and processes, and the software development lifecycle. You will be responsible for the continuous improvement of the quality of our student management software through automated and manual test techniques.

Your tasks will be varied and will include following test strategies, using recognised test methodologies, detecting, and tracking defects and providing feedback on the suitability of the software for release.

You will also support our Test Automation Engineers in maintaining real-time metadata, providing work estimates, providing third line support to ensure the resolution of queries.

By creating, designing, and maintaining automated and manual test scripts and providing input into the design of user acceptance criteria, you will contribute to the team’s overall goal of ensuring that our customers’ expectations are surpassed.

What can I bring to the role?

You will be passionate about testing software, and you will bring with you a focus on quality assurance to help Identify test process optimisation opportunities and contribute to process optimisation.

Your exceptional communication, analytical and problem-solving skills will come into play every day, creating and executing test processes in a complex, multi-disciplinary environment and engaging with multiple senior Stakeholders.

Ideally, you will have experience with automated testing methods and tools such as Selenium, testing interfaces between systems, the ability to read and write SQL scripts and an understanding of XML/JSON. This is an exciting opportunity for a tester who is looking to push themselves professionally with the support of an established organisation.
