We seek a practical and detail orientated person(s) to take on the role of Technician in our Environmental laboratories in Cambridge. These laboratories include materials testing facilities in hydrogen sulphide, Hydrogen and other aggressive environments

You will work closely with Project Leaders and fellow technicians from our Cambridge site, carrying out bespoke materials testing in aggressive environments.

You will possess experience and an understanding in mechanical engineering with attention to detail, knowledge of machinery assembly and experience of practical problem solving.

Knowledge of instrumentation, materials testing machines, would be an advantage (but not essential) as would IT skills for data logging and analysis using Excel. All training will be supplied In house. You will be expected to work in accordance with current Health & Safety requirements and to high quality standards within tight deadlines.

You will be self-motivated and willing to contribute both in a team environment and independently. You will work with Hydrogen/ Hydrogen sulphide gas a varying pressures and possibly temperatures to simulate the environments of the test materials.

This position may require occasional travel.
