    Our UKI Operations teams work where Uber's technology meets the real world. We own city-specific business outcomes and bridge our overall business strategy with local needs.

    Our UKI Rider Operations team is a subset of the UKI Operations teams that handle the rider lifecycle, works on continuously improving the rider experience, and fuels the growth of the business by ensuring new and existing rider segments increasingly engage with our wider portfolio of products beyond UberX.

    What You'll Do

    The team's mission is to use data and operational levers to ensure that riders and drivers in the UK and Ireland have a reliable and convenient service at all times, in all places. This is a complex task that requires tackling sophisticated product and operational challenges.

    You'll use analytical and operational knowledge to improve decision-making and impact business outcomes, working on projects that could span across an array of topics ranging from user acquisition/engagement, user experience, or product/feature launches. We are right at the heart of the business and as a result, are able to immediately see the impact of our work!

    Qualifications

    • Written and spoken proficiency in English
    • Currently enrolled or graduated in the last 6 months in a Masters or Bachelors degree
    • Availability to work 6 months full time in 2021 starting October/November
    • Working rights in the UK (No sponsorship available)
    • Business Insight: Understanding and being fully aware of how our business operates and how it makes money and sustains profitable growth, now and in the future
    • Communication: Using interpersonal skills and situational awareness to clearly deliver information to a variety of audiences.
    • Planning and Organization: Setting up and maintaining systems to appropriately structure and keep track of tasks and projects
    • Problem Solving: Efficiently resolving issues that involve people, things, and processes by using logic and common sense
    • Stakeholder Management: Taking time to establish effective relationships; earning the trust of others within the organization through strong situational awareness and reliability
    • Teamwork: Demonstrates optimism, respects others, and works well in a team

    Preferred Qualifications

    • A prior internship experience working in a startup, tech company, or any kind of operations internship
    • Prior experience with SQL
