We are currently looking for people to join our Graduate Scheme with degrees in Engineering subjects to start a career development scheme to build a successful career working in a fast paced, dynamic and team orientated environment.

Do you want a role that offers you the opportunity to see your writing displayed on retailer shelves both UK-wide and worldwide? As a Graduate Trainee Creative Copywriter, you will have the opportunity to write artwork and instruction manual copy on a daily basis. You will be joining a talented team of designers and artworkers who work collaboratively with our QA and Buying teams to produce high-quality product packaging that contributes to the success of our business.

  • Following copy briefs and style guides to write high-quality artwork copy for product packaging available in stores worldwide
  • Writing, editing and producing instruction manuals by cross-referencing product specifications provided by Buying and QA with existing materials
  • Typesetting instruction manuals in Adobe InDesign; designing and editing visually appealing booklets that are faithful to brand guidelines
  • Answering language-related queries raised during the writing process; taking responsibility and ownership of grammatical and lexical choices printed on artworks
  • Working closely with senior members of staff, providing copy for packaging, websites and presentations for house brands

What we look for

  • Educated with 2:1 degree or equivalent level in a topic such as English Language
  • At least 6 months work experience, ideally within an office-based environment
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Experience of writing copy
  • Adaptable with a “do what it takes” attitude to completing tasks within set deadlines
  • Hardworking and dynamic with an excellent eye for detail and creative flare
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Local to Manchester
