During this exciting transition to clean, low-carbon generation, our Future Fuels Infrastructure Department provides a comprehensive range of engineering services to Uniper's new-build projects in the areas of state-of-the-art gas-fired generation, carbon capture, hydrogen generation and storage. This role offers you the opportunity to work alongside a team of fellow technical, environmental and engineering specialists in supporting the development and deployment of low-carbon projects to deliver Uniper's net zero commitments across our international portfolio, whilst growing your own skills and experience at the same time. Your responsibilities

  • Supporting the development and deployment of innovative solutions and new technologies to help deliver Uniper’s decarbonisation goals
  • Contributing to the growth of knowledge and expertise within Uniper as an informed buyer of new low-carbon technologies.
  • Assessing costs and benefits of new technologies
  • Reviewing new legislation to determine the implications for the energy sector

This Placement opportunity will allow you to experience working in many of these areas and to understand the environmental and engineering considerations and issues that are key components of an energy business.

Your profile

  • Studying for a degree in any relevant Engineering discipline, Physics, Chemistry or Natural Sciences,
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Strong collaborative values and flexibility to work across a range of projects.
  • Good computer literacy

Please note this placement will be for between 48-52 weeks and will begin in Summer 2025
