    This is an opportunity to primarily gain experience in the UX/UI function, but also an eight weeks secondment into Brand and Marketing functions, giving the candidate a much more in-depth knowledge of the creative and digital marketing areas of the commercial team.

    The Commercial team supports the Unite Students in making driving budgeted top line revenue of over £580 million, ensuring that we have the correct products and price on the right channels attracting all of our segments to get the prefect blend of profitable income across our estate. This includes using data to drive decisions, having the right hallmarks and brand architecture to suit the needs of our students, creating demand through various marketing channels, and having our content displayed in the best way across our platforms. The team has a diverse capability cross-section covering all aspects of a customer`s commercial lifecycle.

    What you'll be doing

    UX/UI Design - primary remit

    • Research, ideate and concept UX solutions working closely with Stakeholders
    • Assisting with research and user-testing
    • Translate concepts into; wireframes, mock-ups, designs and prototypes
    • Identify design problems and offer solutions
    • Test and iterate your designs
    • Develop knowledge of UX design skills and principles

    Digital Marketing - 6 weeks

    • Taking part in project calls and team meetings
    • Taking responsibility for uploading and managing content and copy on our website
    • Supporting the development of content strategies
    • Managing the user generated content created by our network of student content creators
    • Supporting the website team with SEO (search engine optimisation) and CRO (conversion rate optimisation) implementation
    • Supporting the planning and implementation of national and international campaigns

    Brand - 2 weeks

    • Working as a designer in the brand teams support the key brand design activities
    • Taking responsibility for brand guardianship
    • Supporting the team with brand management activity

    Key skills needed

    • Working towards a degree with a design focus
