About the role
You'll be playing a supporting role in the social media and campaigns team. It's our team's responsibility to educate and change the behaviours of customers for the better. We're also here to show our customers, communities, investors, suppliers, partners, and our people, who we are, what we do and why we do it.
As digital marketing intern, you'll:
- Write and create engaging content for our communication channels, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram and more traditional channels, including email.
- Publish content to social media platforms.
- Monitor and measure success of social media campaigns.
- Have an awareness of the communications calendar to ensure campaigns link to awareness days and events.
- Work closely with the marketing and campaign managers to execute campaigns.
- Work collaboratively with our internal and external communications team to make sure relevant content is delivered to all audiences.
- Engage with our marketing agencies to deliver successful campaigns.
Who you are
You will be aiming for a minimum of a 2:1 in a digital marketing related subject, and a student in your penultimate year at university.
- You'll have the ability to write clearly, turning complex jargon into easy-to-understand language.
- A willingness to learn and genuine interest in communications and digital marketing.
- You must be motivated and enthusiastic, understand the importance of teamwork and possess ambition and drive to succeed and make the most out of you 10-week internship
- You should be able to be comfortable working flexibly across a range of tasks and activities to deadlines and be able to prioritise your time.
- You'll be proficient in core applications including, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint
- You'll have sound numeric skills to report and analyse campaigns.
- You'll have some knowledge or understanding of web CMS and publishing.
- You'll understand delivering campaigns through social media, particularly Facebook and Twitter.
Don't worry, you won't be going it alone. Your mentor and manager will work with you as you progress through your placement and support you as you work towards your personal development goals.
What we offer
When you join our Intern Scheme you'll receive a good salary, and you'll also be eligible for a bonus of up to 7.5%.
You get 26 days holiday to take during your placement, and at our fantastic Lingley Mere site we have an onsite gym, coffee shops and other great facilities.
