About the scheme

Join United Utilities’ 3-year Graduate Programme in our Technology Services team and kickstart your career! You’ll work with diverse teams across our organisation, driving cutting-edge solutions and enhancing our technology services. What will I be doing?

  • Collaborating with various Technology Services teams to identify challenges and complete development assignments.
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders to create improvement plans that enhance user experience.
  • Maintaining and developing application roadmaps, managing versions, lifecycles, and deployment methods.
  • Identifying and implementing cost-effective technologies to automate processes and improve user experience.
  • Providing strategic guidance by understanding the End User Technology estate and recommending solutions.
  • Learning about security tools and profile management to enhance security posture and proactively monitor issues.

What do I need to be successful?

We require our graduates to have a minimum 2:1 degree classification in either Computer Science, Information Technology or Computer Engineering.

You will also need

  • Experience with Windows Operating Systems and end user hardware.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Microsoft Office, and scripting.
  • Knowledge of virtualisation technologies, Active Directory, and Microsoft Entra.
  • Familiarity with build management, Windows File Services or SharePoint, and MDM technologies.
  • Understanding of software deployment, End Point Protection, encryption software, and storage solutions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, prioritise tasks, and demonstrate initiative in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility during assignments as they may require out of hours cover, standby or call-out support.

Our recruitment process requires you to complete:

  • A deductive and verbal reasoning test
  • A one-way video interview
  • An assessment centre, which will take place between 27th November – 6th December 2024.
