About the role
In the property department you will join our Land Agents Team and assist the Land Agent to help protect, maintain and improve the quality of raw water resources derived from the company's catchments. You will promote sustainable land management with the development and implementation of strategies to optimise the economic, environmental and social benefits generated from Company landholdings.
You could be involved in any aspect of rural estate management including property management, agri-environment schemes, supporting biodiversity aims (including Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) & Special Protection Area (SPA)), tree planting, improving wildlife habitats, facilitating water catchment regeneration schemes and other capital investment and maintenance work across the estate
The role is to cover Greater Manchester/Peak District /Cheshire region. Hybrid working role with office facilities at Denton WTW.
As your internship progress there will be substantial scope to take on additional responsibilities as you gain more experience.
Don't worry, we won't throw you in at the deep end. You'll have mentors and managers with you as you progress through your placement and support you as you work towards your personal development goals.
We're looking for
- Someone to be working towards or hold a degree in a land based or environmental related subject
- A full UK driving license.
- Interest and/or experience in rural land management and/or environmental issues is key.
- A Practical, approachable and enthusiastic can do attitude.
- Ability to work in rural outdoor environment is essential.
- Have good computer skills across Microsoft Office suite.
