    The A side: a day in the life

    This role sits within the Virgin Music Audience, Innovation and Gaming team and is primarily focused on delivering outstanding digital campaign tools and assets for frontline marketing campaigns, as well as providing support and assistance to the team when necessary, with a finger on the pulse of emerging media.

    The B side: skills & experience

    Audience Services

    • Assess current artist activity to identify opportunities and prescribe the improvements required to deliver enhanced audience growth
    • Understand the challenges artists and managers face and provide realistic recommendations based on proven effectiveness
    • Gather insight and learning from across Universal and the industry, creating documentation which artists & managers can use to learn and apply best practice

    Entrepreneurship

    • Craft the tone, visual approach and language of the service
    • Lead the identification and initial engagement of artist and managers including pitching the service to build trust in what is on offer
    • Define how the practice of audience services develops over time in order to respond to the industry and ever-evolving digital space

    Content & Communication

    • Define the best channel(s) or forum(s) for artists and management to receive intel
    • Oversee the editorial plan for updates, ensuring useful information reaches artists and management in a timely manner
    • Be responsive to queries and deal directly with artists and managers where needed
    • Be able to organise events involving training material, engaging agendas, presentations, and workshops

    Digital knowledge

    • A general understanding of the digital space and the ability to talk about channels, content and performance metrics (web, eCRM, social media, streaming, VOD)
    • A dependable knowledge of digital design tools, video editing software and HTML, should they be called upon when needed

    • Ability to map out and build a strong professional network
    • Fast learner who can work autonomously and solve problems
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deal with people at all levels of business
    • Confident meeting and presenting to artist management and external partners
    • Self-motivated, hardworking and enthusiastic
    • Passionate about music and the digital landscape – and ultimately a music obsessed fan with broad tastes
