    The Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering are looking for a Research Assistant to work in collaboration with four other universities on their EPSRC project: “New Generation Modelling Suite for the Survivability of Wave Energy Convertors in Marine Environments (Wave-Suite).”

    You will contribute to a new novel modelling tool by performing advanced numerical simulations and generating the required database for extreme wave loads and responses of wave energy converters in survival conditions.

    • A first degree in a relevant discipline
    • Depth and breadth of specialist knowledge of the subject matter
    • Demonstrable awareness of the latest developments in this field
    • The ability to prioritise their own workload
    • The ability to write research reports and effectively disseminate outcomes
