The Income team plays a critical role in supporting the operation of the University by ensuring all income from student fees, research, and other commercial income is received and recorded efficiently, accurately, and in a timely and secure manner. We are constantly working to improve the operation of our business processes and systems to drive efficiencies, strengthen financial controls, and enhance students’ and customers’ experience of making payment to the University.
Credit Control ensure the timely collection of monies due to the University. The team’s remit covers both student and commercial debt, including research income, and they work directly with debtors as well as with colleagues across the University to maximise income collection.
The team actively drives consistent and transparent procedures for debt follow-up and ensures these are clearly understood and adhered to by colleagues. The team also drives aged debt reporting which is used across the University to drive performance tracking, budget management, and forecasting.
