We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated, and organised individual who wants to make a difference to student experience in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law.
You will be part of the Professional Liaison Network (PLN) – a friendly, supportive and enthusiastic team that run activities that connect students and staff with external partner organisations related to their academic disciplines. Activities include: placements, projects, co-produced research, mentoring and other activities such as talks and events.
What will you be doing
The role will include:
- Supporting the PLN Administrator as a primary contact for a range of PLN activities but specifically our Faculty-wide Mentoring Scheme, including administering processes and procedures, maintaining databases and responding promptly to queries.
- One of the primary points of contact for promptly responding to routine and non-routine queries and forwarding information to staff, students and external organisations.
- Administering processes and procedures, co-ordinating tasks and responsibilities to support the PLN with other engagement activities, including supporting with internal and external events e.g. mentoring events, open days and external partner talks.
- Supporting the PLN team in marketing activities, including drafting material for internal and external newsletters, websites and social media.
- Supporting the PLN team with suggesting continuous improvements to activities, processes and team work.

- Strong administrative skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including attention to detail
- Confident using Microsoft Office programmes (e.g. Excel) and learning to use new IT software and University systems
