    We wish to appoint a Research Assistant within the Autism Research Centre (ARC) at the University of Cambridge. The Research Assistant will work with a Research Associate on the Longitudinal European Autism Project (LEAP) and other projects that are part of the AIMS-2-TRIALS research programme. LEAP is a longitudinal study which aims to identify variability in autism in terms of behaviour, cognition, co-occurring conditions, outcomes, brain structure/ function and genetics.

    What you'll do 

    This role will involve day-to-day project administration, including data entry and organisation, contacting, and communicating with volunteers, scheduling appointments, carrying out the study protocol with participants, record keeping, updating project logs, quality control procedures, arranging sample transfers and some statistical analyses. On other projects, the role holder will have the opportunity to work alongside our Science Communicator to support the broader project dissemination and communications for AIMS-2-TRIALS. This may include updating the project website, helping to promote webinars, and contributing written communications such as newsletters. There will also be the opportunity to assist with qualitative and quantitative data analysis.

    The successful applicant will have a good degree (2.1 or above) in Psychology or related science discipline, together with knowledge of coordinating a research project. A conscientious approach to all aspects of this work will be important. Strong organisational and communication skills, rigorous attention to detail, time management skills, ability to work independently, and a strong level of competence in computing are essential. Understanding of research methods, basic statistics (e.g., use of SPSS or R), and data manipulation (e.g., Excel) are required.
