    We’re looking for a creative and highly organised individual to join our small team at UCLan Publishing.

    About the role

    You will utilise editorial and project-management skills in an exciting role, which will involve assisting the management of a number of children's, YA and adult books through the editorial process to publication, giving you the opportunity to work across a wide range of genres. The role requires working with authors to ensure timely delivery of manuscripts, as well as freelance editors, illustrators, designers and in-house colleagues. The successful candidate will also coordinate the peer review processes, liaising with our sales, marketing and PR team.

    Working closely with the Publisher, this is a great opportunity for a talented editor keen to make their mark in an exciting and growing business. Candidates will have an honours degree in a related discipline and have previous experience of working in a publishing house and knowledge of software such as InDesign, Photoshop and Excel.

    This position is based at UCLan’s Preston campus.
