We are delighted to announce that are seeking to appoint two recent graduates (graduating in 2021 or 2022) for our laboratory experience placement. We recognise that Biomedical and Life Sciences Graduates in 2021 and 2022 will have had their research experience, in particularly wet-lab experiences, curtailed due to social distancing measures and other restrictions.

We would like to provide promising recent graduates from under-represented groups, and those most impacted by the pandemic, with laboratory experience to enhance your skills base to best position you to apply for a PhD or other science related position.

This placement will grant you the opportunity to refresh your own practical skills and your application of a range of commonly used methods and equipment, in addition to teaching and supporting our students to gain confidence when working in a laboratory environment. Guidance and training will be provided, and successful applicants will be required to interact and engage with students in the early years of their undergraduate studies. The placements will enhance health and safety knowledge, team working, and organisational and time management skills.

Candidates will be paid a salary at the national living wage working 36.25 hours per week. All placements are expected to start around 20 September 2022 for a period of 3 months.
